Green Dragon is an Earth friendly community of practitioners and teachers dedicated to self improvement of the mental, physical and spiritual aspects of being and to the sharing of this knowledge.

Green Dragon Tai Chi & Qigong offers classes in the ancient Chinese martial art Tai Chi, mixed with techniques from Qigong—both excellent ways to build strength and life energy known as Chi. Tai Chi uses an attackers energy against them using softness rather than strength. Learning to use jointlocks, re direct energies and issue powerful strikes and takedowns are some of the components in a true Tai Chi practitioner’s arsenal.

We teach Yang Style and Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan. Yang Style is the most popular form of Tai Chi today. It is characterized by it’s slow steady movements. It is excellent for building focus, balance and inner strength. Like all forms of Tai Chi Chuan it teaches one to be calm and clear in combatative situations.

Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan is known for it’s spiralling movements (Silk Reeling energy) and a mix of smooth soft flowing movements combined with occasional bursts of power. Many believe Chen Style to be the original form of Tai Chi Chuan. We teach the original form known as Lao Jia Yilu as passed down through the Chen Family.
